Mrs. Kumari Darjee of Melli Dara received a cow and calf along with other benefits such as water storage tank, pipes, buckets, milk can etc., from the Social Justice, E
mpowerment & Welfare Department, Government of Sikkim under the Scheme SCA to SCSP (2014-2015) . She utilized these benefits to produce milk which then became the main income generating resource.  Due to the high yielding production of milk, the beneficiary has tied up with a cooperative for collection of milk. As she was found to be an enthusiast and successful dairy farmer, the State Bank of India, Melli also provided a loan to her for further development of Dairy farming, from which she has purchased one more cow of high yielding variety that added to her income generation.
